RESOLUTION NO. 2000-064
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL
BUDGET TO ADD FOUR GRANT FUNDED POSITIONS IN
THE WORK CENTER
WHEREAS, on June 19, 2000, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance
No. NS-2431, which establishes the City's Annual Budget, authorizing position
allocations for Fiscal Year 2000-01, and which sets forth the requirement that
alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has received a grant from the Orange County
Social Services Agency to operate the Community Services Project, a component of the
Welfare-to-Work Program, aimed at providing intensive case management and job
placement services to project participants; and
WHEREAS, funds have been received through this grant for the purpose of hiring
three Workforce Specialist II's and one Senior Office Specialist to assist with
implementation of Community Services Project goals; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend the Fiscal Year 2000-01 Annual Budget
to effect the addition of four positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA:
That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2000-01, as amended, is hereby
further amended by allocating three additional Workforce Specialist II
positions and one additional Senior Office Specialist position.
That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of the
Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2000-01, as amended, shall remain in full
force and effect.
3. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after October 1, 2000.
