A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY TO EXECUTE RIGHT
OF WAY CERTIFICATIONS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and declares
as follows:
Each year the Santa Ana Public Works Agency designs and manages
roadway improvements on:
Federally funded projects administered by the State of California,
Department of Transportation ("Caltrans"), and
Local projects within the Caltrans right of way which are not
federally funded.
These projects require the City to certify that any right of way interests
necessary for the project have been, or are being secured in accordance
with applicable laws and regulations or that no additional property rights or
right of way are required for the project.
A local agency may, by resolution, give a responsible agency official
authority to execute all Right of Way Certifications.
2. The City Council hereby authorizes the Executive Director of the Public Works
Agency, and his designees, to execute all Right of Way Certifications for federally
funded projects administered by Caltrans and non federally funded local projects within
the Caltrans right of way.
3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to affix his signature to this resolution signifying
its adoption by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana and the City Clerk is directed to
attest thereto.
