A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT WITH THE
OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, finds, determines
and declares as follows:
The Santa Ana Police Department has received funding for the Career
Criminal Apprehension Grant from the Office of Criminal Justice Planning.
The grant is a one-year grant with two additional years of funding based
on program performance.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorizes and
directs The Chief of Police or his designee to execute the grant award agreement with
the Office of Criminal Justice Planning.
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby appoints the Chief of
Police, or his designee, as agent for the City of Santa Ana to conduct all negotiations,
execute and submit all documents, including but not limited to applications, agreements,
amendments and payment requests which may be necessary for the completion of the
aforementioned grant.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the
City Council, arid the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting
this Resolution.
