A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.91-066 TO
PROVIDE AN INCREASE IN SALARY FOR THE
UNREPRESENTED EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT
CLASSES OF ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER (EM) AND
DEPUTY CITY MANAGER FOR DEVELOPMENT
SERVICES (EM)
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana
requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and
pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No. 91-066 re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes
of employment designated as unrepresented Executive Management (EM) and Middle
Management (MM); and WHEREAS, it is proposed that the salary level for certain
unrepresented executive management classifications be increased, in order to attract
and retain qualified candidates and to reestablish pay equity relationships; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Council Resolution No.91-066, to effect
this change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3A of Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, is hereby further
amended by increasing the salary level assigned to the unrepresented executive
management classifications title shown below as follows:

2. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of Resolution
No. 91-066 shall remain in full force and effect.
3. That this Resolution shall be operative immediately upon its date of adoption.
