On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. On June 18, 2001, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS-2474, which establishes the City's Annual Budget, authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council. Periodic review of the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan reveals the need to effect certain changes to the Plan, and to allocate or reallocate certain positions. It is the City's goal to ensure that job titles are consistent with industry practices and that salaries are internally equitable and competitive with the labor market. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82-110 and the Current Annual Budget in order to effect these changes. Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by: Resolution No. 2001-082 Page 1 of 3 adding, in alphabetical sequence, the following new full time classification title at the monthly six-step salary rate ranges (SRR) and effective dates indicated: 6-Step Salary Rate Ranoe ('SRR) Effective: 11/16/01 Annual Salary 7/1/02 7/1/03 ClassTitle SRR No. (Min-Max) SRR No. SRR No. Purchasing Specialist 531 ($33,384-42,600) 539 547 B= changing the existing classification title of Supervising Accounting Assistant to Accounts Payable Supervisor, at no change to the six- step salary rate ranges currently assigned.
