HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-088 - Amend Resolution No. 82-110RESOLUTION NO. 2001-088 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN, AND TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO ALLOCATE FIVE POSITIONS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council hereby, finds, determines and declares as follows: Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. On June 18, 2001, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS-2474, which establishes the City's Annual Budget, autho, rizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded 500 Housing Choice Vouchers to the City of Santa Ana, requiring additional staff to effectively administer them. The Executive Director of the Community DeveLopment Agency proposes to create two (2) new classification titles and to add five (5) additional positions to the current Annual Budget, as amended. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, and the Fiscal Year 2001-2002 Budget, as amended, in order to effect these changes. Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by: Resolution No. 2001-088 Page 1 of 3 a. adding, in alphabetical sequence, the following class titles at the six-step monthly salary rate ranges and effective dates indicated: Class Title Housing Authority Analyst Housing Authority Aide 6-Step Salary Rate Range CSRR~ Effective: 11/16/01 Annual Salary 7/1/02 7/1/03 SRR ('Min-Max3 SRR SRR 608 ($48,648-61,112) 616 624 482 ($26,280-33,552) 490 498 Section 3: That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, as amended, be further amended by allocating one (1) Housing Specialist II position, one (1) Senior Office Assistant position, one (1) Senior Housing Specialist position, one (1) Housing Authority Analyst position, and one (1) Housing Authority Aide position. Section 4: That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, and the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect. Section 5: That except as stated otherwise above, this Resolution shall be operative from and after November 19, 2001 ADOPTED this 19th day of November, 2001. APPROVED AS TO FORM: Joseph W.
