A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION TO THE
CALIFORNIA STATE GENERAL FUND FOR EQUIPMENT
TO BE PROVIDED FOR THE AMERICAN YOUTH
SOCCER ORGANIZATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and
declares as follows:
The Legislature and Governor of the State of California have approved a
grant for the American Youth Soccer Organization to pumhase soccer
equipment and to fund a portion of the operational expenses.
The California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated
the responsibility for the administration of the grant project and setting up
necessary procedures,
Said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and
Recreation require the City of Santa Ana to certify by resolution the
approval of the application before submission of said application to the
State.
The City of Santa Ana will enter into a contract with the State of California
for the grant for the American Youth Soccer Organization to purchase
soccer equipment and to fund a portion of the operational expenses.
Section 2. The City Council directs the City Attorney to prepare all necessary
agreements and authorizes the City Manager or designee to conduct all negotiations,
execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements,
payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the
aforementioned project.
Sectiort 3. The City of Santa Ana certifies that it will have sufficient funds to
operate and maintain the project.
Section 4. The City of Santa Ana certifies that it has reviewed and understands
the General Provisions contained in the Project contract shown in the Procedural Guide
which are on file with the City of Santa Ana's Clerk's Office,
