A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
GRANT FUNDS TO THE ORANGE
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR
CONSIDERATION UNDER THE ARTERIAL
REHABILITATION PROGRAM AND
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
APPLICATION OF

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines
and declares as follows:
On March 18, 2002, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OTCA)
issued a call for projects under the Arterial Highway Rehabilitation
Program (AHRP) and Federal Assistance Program (FAP).
When combined with local funding, the AHRP will fund projects that
address arterial pavement rehabilitation needs..
The FAP will provide funding to federally funded projects that are
experiencing overruns and other implementation challenges.
Countywide, a total of $7.5 million will be made available through the
AHRP and a total of $2.5 million will be made available through the FAP.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the
submittal of an application to OCTA for the Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Program and
Federal Assistance Program, for the following projects:
1. Dyer Road: Flower to Main (AHRP)
2. Euclid Street: McFadden to SCL (AHRP)
3. Newhope Street: Camille to Flight (AHRP)
4. Newhope Street: Flight to Edinger (AHRP)
5. Newhope Street: H~llyline to Third (AHRP)
6. Newhope Street: Westminster to Hollyline (AHRP)
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorizes and
empowers the Executive Director of the Public Works Agency or his designee to
execute in the name of the City of Santa Ana all necessary applications, contracts,
agreements, amendments and payments requests hereto for the purpose of securing
grant funds.

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by
the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting
this Resolution.
