HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-046 -RESOLUTION NO. 2002-046 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. On July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 91- 066, re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as unrepresented Executive Management (EM) and Middle Management (MM). Do With the adoption of the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003, the City Council authorized certain organizational, staffing, and compensation changes which affect a number of class titles in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plans. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82-110 and Resolution No. 91-066 to effect these changes. Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding the following full-time classification title at the five-step monthly Salary Rate Range (SRR) indicated, effective July 1,2002: SRR Annual Salary Class Title No. (Min-Max) Crime Research Analyst 626 ($53,112-64,584) Section 3: That Section 3B of Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, be further amended by: Adding the following full-time classification title at the fifteen-step Salary Rate Range (SRR) indicated, effective July 1, 2002: Resolution No. 2002-046 Page 1 of 3 Class Title Police Technology and Support Administrator SRR Annual Salary No. (Min-Max) MM-22 * Designating this classification as unrepresented Middle Management by adding the parenthetical identifier (MM) next to its classification title. *Note: Salaries assigned to classes of employment designated as unrepresented Middle Management (MM) in effect on June 30, 2002, shall be increased by four percent effective July 1, 2002, per Resolution No. 2001-077. The annual salary assigned to MM-22 in effect on June 30, 2002, is $72,576-$102,540. Section 4: That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of Resolution No. 82-110 and Resolution No. 91-066 shall remain in full force and effect.
