County Community Action Council, Incorporated
has been designated as the community action agency for the County of Orange.
It was the decisicm of the City Council, on motic~ of Councilman Brooks, seconded
by Councilman Herrin, to officially accept recognition of the designated agency and
request that the City of Santa Aha be included in the proposed Co~uity Action

HARBOR DISTRICT It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded
by Councilmau Herrln and carried, to
authorize reimbursement to Councilman
~arkel for expenses incurred for recent trip to Sacramento to represent the City
Council at the hearing on Orange County HarbOr District Dill.
On motion of Councilman Carlson, seconded by Councilman Brooks and carried, Council
authorized a: representative off the City Council to attend the next hearing in
Sacramento to support the Orange County League of Cities' position on dissolution
of the Orange County Harbor District, at City expense.
POLXCE CC~JTER SERVICE Acting on the recommendation of the City
Manager, Council cancelled agreement with
Tabulating Technicians, Inc. for police
cc~uter service, on motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Griset
and carried.

Speaking in opposition to granting the variance were Stanley ~afer, attorney

6R6. filed by Santiago Development Ccmpany,
proposing amendment of Sectional District
Map 36-5-10 to reclassify property on the south side of Talbert between Main and
Flower from the R 1 to R 1 - PD District.
Russell Mac Quiddy, Santiago Development Company, displayed a model of the Plamued
Development Homes. The Flamuing Director explained Planned Develol~aent zon~ to
the Council, that the lots are smaller than 6000 square feet, and that ~he difference
goes into a public pare area. The hearing was closed.
It was moved by Councilman Nerrin, seconded by Councilman Griset, to approve the
application and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance to reclassify
