RECOMMENDED ACTION
Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the
Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with MGE UPS Systems for the
maintenance and service of emergency uninterruptable power systems of the
Police Department Administrative and Holding Facilities for a one-year
)eriod, with a provision for two one-year extensions, in an annual amount
ot to exceed $14,675.
DISCUSSION
· The Police Department's uninterruptable power source units serve as the
back up power source for emergency services in the event of a power outage
and are critical to the safety of the community and police personnel. The
UPS units have been maintained by MGE, the sole manufacturer of these
systems, in an excellent and reliable manner during the term of the last
contract.
The proposed agreement with MGE UPS Systems will include preventive
maintenance, and installation of replacement parts. Further, this agreement
· will include regular service Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM and on site
response within the next business day.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Police Department Fund, Other Contract Services
account (11-350-6291).
