to prepare and authorize the City Manager and
to execute a two year agreement with Red1ands
Geographic Information System programming and
Public Works Agency for an amount not-to-exceed
The Public Works Agency continues to expand the Geographic Information
System and is working on projects for agencies throughout the City.
Programming and technical services are needed to assist with the
implementation of these projects. The work to be done includes assisting
staff with project design and set-up, programming and technical database
support.
Several years ago staff solicited proposals. for these services from
qualified firms. Redlands Software was selected based on their
qualifications, past experience and capacity to perform the required work
and an agreement was approved. Redlands has performed well and at this
time it is recommended that a new two year agreement with Redlands
Software Inc. be awarded for a not-to-exceed cost of $120,000.
FISCAL IMPACT
The proposed agreement will have a limit of $120,000. Funds in the amount
of $60,000 for the first year of the amendment are available in the
Administrative Services Fund for other consulting services (account no.
101-601-6291). Funds in the amount of $60,000 for the second year of the
amendment will be included in the 04-05 budget.
