RECOMMENDED ACTION
Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and
the Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with
Jonathan Orndorff for Geographic Information System support services,
extending the term of the agreement by two years in an amount not to
.exceed $104,000.
DISCUSSION
The Public Works Agency continues to expand the Geographic Information
System (GIS) and is working on projects for agencies throughout the City.
Technical support services are needed to assist with the implementation of
these projects. The work to be done includes assisting staff with map
production, project research and database support.
This amendment is needed to support the current operation. The
contractor has worked for the City for the last two years as a GIS
contractor and is familiar with the system and operation. An agreement
is recommended to continue provided GIS support.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $52,000 for the first year of the amendment are
available in the Administrative Services Fund for other consulting
services (account no. 101-601-6291). Funds in the amount of $52,000 for
the second year of the amendment will be included in the 04-05 budget.
