Award a contract to Wondries Fleet Group for the purchase of
midsize passenger vehicle in the amount not to exceed $15,021.04.

. DISCUSSION
The Fleet Maintenance Division's annual Equipment Replacement Program
is included in the City's annual budget,' and identifies vehicles
scheduled for replacement. Funding is monitored through a depreciation
schedule established with each department.
Various City Departments utilize midsize passenger vehicles to perform
routine business. The Building Safety Division of the Planning &
Building Agency utilizes midsize passenger vehicles to transport Safety
Inspectors for routine building inspection. The current replacement
schedule includes one 1991 Oldsmobile Ciera.Due to age and condition,
the vehicle has been budgeted and approved for replacement in the
current fiscal year.
The notice inviting bids was advertised on February 18-19, 2004, and
bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids
received is as follows:

. Bids were received and opened on March 8, 2004 (Exhibit 1). The bid
from Wondries Fleet Group is responsive to the specifications and meets
the City's requirements.
