RECOMMENDED ACTION
Award a contract to Superior Property Services, Inc. for steam cleaning
of the Police Administration and Holding Facility for a two-year period
8 with provision for two one-year renewals in an annual amount not to
exceed $16,200.
DISCUSSION
The Police Department is responsible for the general maintenance of the
Police Administration Building and Holding Facility. An important
aspect of the maintenance is the cleaning of concrete areas where there
is high pedestrian and vehicle traffic, in order to improve the
appearance and maintain clean, attractive facilities.
The notice inviting bids was advertised on February 28-29, 2004, and
bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids
received is as follows:

bid received from Superior Property Services, Inc., a Santa Ana vendor,
