CITY MANAGER
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Award a contract to Inland Concrete Enterprises, Inc. to rehabilitate 80
sewer manholes in the total amount of $105,300.
8 DISCUSSION
The Public Works Agency's Water Resources Division performs an ongoing
assessment of the concrete and brick sewer manholes throughout the City.
Staff has determined that 80 manholes have deteriorated and require a
rehabilitation process that repairs and seals the interior of the
manhole with a polyurethane coating. The recommended action will repair
leakage and prevent structural failure, while extending the life of
existing manholes for a fraction of the cost of replacement.
