RECOMMENDED ACTION
Amend the agreement to Securitas USA to increase the aggregate limit by
$5,000 for emergency security guard services.
. DISCUSSION
Currently, security guard service is provided at various locations
throughout the City, including The Depot, the Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice
Park, and the Corporate Yard. The service assists to protect property,
provide a safe and orderly environment within City buildings and
adjacent areas, as well as assist the public when conducting business
with City agencies.
In addition to the scheduled security service, the City requires
immediate security coverage to safeguard buildings and the public
during emergency situations. The amendment will include emergency
security guard service on an as needed basis.
