RECOMMENDED ACTION
Renew the contract with Uniform Center for Fire Department uniforms for
a one-year period in an annual amount not to exceed $80,000.
DISCUSSION
The Santa Ana Fire Department requires uniforms to outfit new

On July 16, 2001, the City Council awarded a contract to Uniform Center
for a three-year period, with provision for two one-year renewals.
Galls/Uniform Center, a division of Galls/Long Beach Uniform, has
agreed to the first renewal option to the contract. Uniform Center has
performed satisfactorily during the past contract period and staff
recommends the first renewal of the contract.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Fire Department
Supplies account (account nos. 11-323-6391).
