DISCUSSION
In order to perform maintenance and repairs on the City's water
systems, the Public Works Agency requires an assortment of materials
such as couplings, clamps, and valves. The materials are purchased
through the Central Stores warehouse for distribution. The contract
for the supplies is designed to provide quality products at significant
savings based on quantity pricing.
The notice inviting bids was advertised on July 19 and 21, 2004, and
bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids
received is as follows:

1) . Bids received from the recommended vendors are responsive to the
specifications in their respective categories.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Water Utility Water System Maintenance
Operating Materials & Supplies account (account no. 64-575-6391).
