Award contracts for fire hydrants, extensions, and repair kits for a
one-year period with provision for three one-year renewals in the
annual amounts as follows:

DISCUSSION
In order to maintain fire safety standards, the Public Works Agency
requires an assortment of fire hydrants and accessories. The items are
purchased through the Central Stores warehouse for distribution. The
contract for the supplies is designed to provide quality products at
significant savings based on quantity pricing.
The notice inviting bids was advertised on August 27 and 30,
bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations
received is as follows:
