DISCUSSION Adlerhorst International, Inc. has been the City's exclusive provider and trainer of Police Service Dogs since 1982. Adlerhorst International is a nationally recognized company known for its experience and expertise in the selection, testing and training of Police Service Dogs. The Police Department currently has six Police Service Dogs that were purchased from and trained by Adlerhorst. Staff recommends the renewal of the agreement for consistency and efficiency in the operations of the canine unit. FISCAL IMPACT Funds are available for Fiscal Year 2004-05 in the Police Canine Program Account (account no. 24-339-various). APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: ------ oma Director & Mngmt.
