RECOMMENDED ACTION
Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and
Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with
Dougherty + Dougherty Architects in the amount of $41,000 for a total
agreement not to exceed $161,090.
DISCUSSION
On February 2, 2004, the City Council approved a contract with Dougherty
+ Dougherty Architects to provide architectural design services for
improvements to El Salvador Center, Santiago Park, and Centennial Park.
In the FY 04/05 CIP, additional funds were approved for improvements to
the courtyard of the El Salvador Center. Staff is recommending an
amendment to an existing contract with Dougherty + Dougherty Architects,
in the amount of $41,000, for design of the additional improvements to El
Salvador Park.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act Categorical
Exemption ER No. 02-163 has been prepared.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total contract amount with approval of this amendment will be
$161,090. Funds are available in the Community Development Block Grant
Fund (account no. 135-149-6931, project 05-7806).
