RESOLUTION NO. 2004-089
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF ORANGE COUNTY TO PROVIDE
ELECTION SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH A
REFERENDUM ELECTION TO BE HELD ON APRIL 5,
2005.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines
and declares as follows:
A.
By Ordinance No. NS-2671, the Santa Ana City Council called a special
election for April 5, 2005 for the purpose of considering a referendum on
City Council Ordinance No. NS-2649 related to the One Broadway Plaza
development.
B.
The City Council desires that the question of adoption of Ordinance No.
NS-2649 appear on the ballot as follows:

Shall Ordinance No. NS-2649,
permitting development of One
Broadway Plaza, a 37-story office No
building and related parking and
retail improvements, be adopted?
C.
It is desirable that the County of Orange provide elections services for the
special election on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, and that the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Orange canvass the returns for the special
election.
Section 2. The County of Orange is requested to provide all election services for
said election and the Board of Supervisors of Orange County is hereby authorized to
canvass the returns of said special municipal election on behalf of the City of Santa
Ana.

Section 3. The City of Santa Ana recognizes that costs will be incurred by the
County by reason of this election and agrees to reimburse the County of Orange for any
such costs.

Section 4. The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to file a certified copy of
this resolution with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange and a certified
copy of this resolution with the Registrar of Voters of the County of Orange.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the
City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting
this Resolution.
