RECOMMENDED ACTION
Award a contract to Consolidated Data Controls for the installation of
a Southern California Edison electric metering service entrance at the
Walnut Pumping Station in the amount of $10,427.
DISCUSSION
The Public Works Agency's Water Resources Division is upgrading the
motor control center at the Walnut Pumping Station. To provide space
for the new equipment, the metering switchgear and switchboard were
relocated outside, which required the installation of a new Southern
California Edison electrical metering service entrance. The new
service entrance will be equipped with a transfer switch to allow for
the use of emergency backup power.
The notice inviting bids was advertised on September 29 and October 1,
2004, and bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and
bids received is as follows:
