RECOMMENDED ACTION
Authorize two payments to Southern California Edison in the amount of
$30,961.16 for the installation of new street lights located on Main
Street from Sunflower to Warner, and $11,953.56 for new street lights on
Memory Lane from the Santa Ana River to Bristol.
DISCUSSION
Under Rule 20A funding with Southern California Edison for the
construction of Underground Utility Districts, the construction of new
street lights are not eligible for payment. New street lights were
required with Underground Utility District No. 36, Main Street from
Sunflower to Warner, and Underground Utility District No. 34, Memory Lane
from the Santa Ana River to Bristol Street.
These new street lights will be paid from the respective street surfacing
projects within the project limits. The costs requested by SCE are
reasonable and in line with Public Works Agency staff's estimate.
ENV:IRONMENTAL :IMPACT
In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the
recommended action is not considered a CEQA project. Therefore, no
environmental documentation is required.

FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in projects 1740 Memory Lane Bridge Widening (account
no. 032-551-6631) and Project 1757 Main Street from Warner to columbine
(account no. 032-551-6631).
