RECOMMENDED ACTION
Award a contract to P. L. Hawn Co., Inc. for air conditioning filters
for a two-year period, with provision for two one-year renewals, in an
annual amount not to exceed $40,631.
DISCUSSION
The Building Maintenance Division of the Finance and Management
Services Agency maintains the heating, ventilation, and air
conditioning (HVAC) systems in various City buildings. Air filters
specific to the systems are replaced several times annually to ensure a
clean work environment. The contract for HVAC filters is designed to
provide quality products at significant savings based on quantity
pricing.
The notice inviting bids was advertised on January 14 & 19,
bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations
