RESOLUTION NO. 86-7
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ~ANTA ANA
APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE UNITED
STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSIHG AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR
ADDITIONAL HOUSING VOUcmnts UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING."
WHEREAS, the Housinq Authority of the City of Santa Ana
is authorized to administer the "Housinq Assistance proqram for
Section 8 Existinq Housinq Proqram" for the United States
Department of Housinq and Urban Development ("BUD"); and
WHEREAS, BUD notified the Housinq Authority of the City
of Santa Ana on June 13, 1986 that Section 8 Housinq Vouchers
are available which would increase the number of persons of low
and moderate income who may be assisted in their housinq within
the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the twenty-five (25) Section 8 Hous1nq
Vouchers are consistent with our Housinq Assistance Plan (HAP).
WHEREAS, BUD requires the Housinq Authority of the City
of Santa Ana to file its application for the twenty-five (25)
Section 8 Housinq Vouchers by June 30, 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housinq Authority
of the City of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The Housinq Authority of the city of Santa Ana
declares the submission of the application for the twenty-five
(25) Section 8 Housinq Vouchers by June 30, 1986 to be an
emerqency matter.
2. The suþmission of an application to the United
States DepartJaent of Houainq and Urban Development for
twenty-five (25) additional Section 8 Housinq Vouchers is hereby
approved.
3. The Executive Director of the Housinq Authority of
the City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take
all necessary steps to file said application and to provide such
information as may be required.
