RESOLUTION 88-4
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE
SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL
HOUSING VOUCHERS UNDER THE SECTION 8
HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING
HOUSING AND AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF
THE ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Housinq Authority of the city of Santa Ana
is authorized to administer the "Housinq Assistance Proqram for
the Section 8 Existinq Housinq proqram for the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD")f and
WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housinq Authority of the City
of Santa Ana on April 28, 1988, that Section 8 Housinq Vouchers
are available which would increase the number of persons of low
and moderate income who may be assisted in their housinq within
the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the seventy-five (75) Section 8 Housinq
Vouchers are consistent with our Housinq Assistance Plan (HAP)f
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority
of the City ot Santa Ana as follows:
1. The submission of an application to the United
States Department of Housinq and Urban Development for
seventy-five (75) additional Section 8 Housinq Vouchers is hereby
approved and designated an emerqency matter.
2. The Executive Director of the Housinq Authority of
the City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take
all necessary steps to file said application and to provide such
information as may be required.

3. The Chairman of the Housinq Authority is hereby
authorized to execute the Annual Contribution Contract on behalf
of the Housinq Authority of the City of Santa Ana.
