RESOLUTION 94-03
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO
THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR SECTION 8 VOUCHERS
UNDER THE SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
IN CONNECTION WITH HOMELESS PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the city of Santa Ana is
authorized to administer the Housing Program for the Section 8
Existing Program for the united States Department of Housing and
Urban Development ("HUD") ¡ and
WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the city of
Santa Ana ("Housing Authority") that section 8 Housing Vouchers
in connection with the Homeless Persons with Disabilities Program
are available which would increase the number of persons of very-
low-income who may be assisted in their housing within the city
of Santa Ana¡ and
WHEREAS, the additional section 8 Housing Vouchers are
consistent with our Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy
("CHAS");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of
the city of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The submission of an application to the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development for additional
section 8 Housing Vouchers in connection with the Homeless
Persons With Disabilities Program is hereby approved.
2. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the
City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take all
necessary steps to file said application and to provide such
information as may be required.
