The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana, was called to order at 2:06 P.M., by Chairman Harry K. Yamamoto, in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana. The following members of the Authority responded to the roll call: Present Absent Gordon Bricken David F. Ort iz Vernon S. Evans David L. Brandt James E. Ward Harry K. Yamamoto, John Garthe Chairman . The following persons were also present: Manuel Rede, Executive Director-Secretary Keith L. Gow, City Attorney Bruce C. Spragg, City Manager Florence I. Malone, Recording Secretary Representatives of the Press MINUTES The full reading of the minutes of the Regular Meetings of January 19, 1976 and February 17, 1976, was waived and they were approved as mailed on the motion of Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner Ortiz and carried (6-0). BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS Nothing to report. . On motion of Com- missioner Evans, seconded by Com- missioner Ward, and carried (6-0) the following documents were received and filed: REPORT OF DIRECTOR 1. The Monthly Report for the Section 23 Leased Housing (Existing Units), indicating that 80 of the 100 authorized units were under lease as of March 1,1976 and that 78 are occupied by tenants. . 2. February 29, 1976, Trial Balance for the Section 23 Leased Housing Program, indicating a balance of $567,750.66. 3. The Monthly Report for the Revised Section 23 Housing Assistance Payment Program (HAP), indicating that 47 of the 50 units authorized by HUD were under lease and occupied by tenants as of March 1, 1976; that as of March 1, 1976. 110 certificates have been issued since March 1976 .arid önly thrée certificates remain active. . . .. . . . . . . MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY -2- March 22, 1976 4. February 29,1976, Trial Balance for Revised Section 23 - Housing Assistance Payments Program (HAP), indicating a balance of $118,230.46. 5. The MonthJy Report for the Section 8 Program (Existing Units), indicating that from October 21, 1975 to March 1, 1976, a total of 101 units were under lease and that during February, 1976, a total of 26 certificates were issued. The total number of certificates issued as of February 1,1976 were 201 and as of March 1, 1976, 227 certificates have been issued. Also received and filed was Exhibit A, HUD - Fair Market Rents for Existing Housing, 6. February 29,1976, Trial Balance for Section 8 - Housing Assistance Payments Program (HAP), indicating a balance of $79,758.09. The interim report from the Director, dated March 16,1976, regarding the proposed composition and the duties and responsibilities in conjunction with the establishment of a Housing Advisory Board, required by State Law, was withdrawn from the Agenda, at the request of the Director, on the unanimously approved (6-0) motion of Com- missioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Evans. The Director stated that a substitute report would be submitted at a subsequent meeting. HOUSING AUTHORITY ADVISORY BOARD REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Nothing to report. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Nothing to report. NEW BUSINESS Nothing to report.
