MINUTES
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
June 27,1978
The regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana was called to order at 5:20 P.M., by Chairman David
F. Ortiz, in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza,
Santa Ana.

May 23,1978, was
they were approved as mailed on the unaimously carried
of Commissioner Brandt, seconded by Commissioner

The monthly report
for the Section 8
Rental Assistance
Payments Program
dated June 19,1978,
indicating that 405 of the 470 units authorized by the Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) were under lease as of
June 1,1978, was received and filed on the unanimously carried
6:0 motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Bricken.

RECEIVED AND FILED
Chairman Ortiz was
authorized to attend
a workshop for local
Housing Authority
Commissioners, sponsored by the California State Department of
Housing and Community Development, to be held in San Diego,
July 7,8,9, 1978, at the Catamaran Hotel and travel and conference
costs were authorized from the Housin~ Authority budget, on the
motion of Commissioner Yamamoto, seconded by Commissioner Ward
and carried 5:1, with Councilman Bricken dissenting.
REPORT OF SECRETARY
HOUSING WORKSHOP
ATTENDANCE AUTHORIZED
A prior motion by Commissioner Bricken, seconded by Commissioner
Brandt, to deny authorization for travel and conference expenses
for any member of the Authority desiring to attend the workshop,
failed to carry as follows:
Ayes: Bricken, Brandt
Noes: Garthe, Ward, Yamamoto, Ortiz
Absent: Evans
