MINUTES
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
April 18, 1977
The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana was called to order at 2:04 P.M., by Chairman Harry
K. Yamamoto, in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza,
Santa Ana. The following members of the Authority responded
to the roll call:

MINUTES
The full reading
of the Minutes of
March 21, 1977,
were approved as mailed on the motion of
seconded by Commissioner Ortiz, and unanimously
was waived and they

carried (6-0).
BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS
Nothing to report.
REPORT OF SECRETARY On motion of Com-
missioner Evans,
seconded by Com-
missioner Bricken, the following documents were received and filed:
1. The Monthly Report for the Section 23 Leased
Housing (Existing Units), indicating that
40 of the 100 authorized units were under
lease as of April 1, 1977.
2. March 31, 1977, Trial Balance for the Section
23 Leased Housing Program, indicating a balance
of $563,948.82.
3. The Monthly Report for the Section 8 Leased
Housing indicating that 276 units of the
450 authorized by HUD were under lease as
of April 1, 1977.
4. March 31, 1977, Trial Balance for the Section
8 Housing Assistance Payments Program (HAP),
indicating a balance of $568,477.10.
5. The Monthly Report of Section 23 (Revised)
New Construction, dated April 12, 1977.

April 18, 1977
Manuel Rede reported that applications are now being received
for the Section 23 senior housing program; that on April 5
the City's housing staff and National Housing Consultants
received 275 applications; that the applications are being
processed at the rate of 60 per day; that the 200-unit housing
project is approximately 60 percent complete; with an estimated
completion date of August 1977.
