REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 6, 1987
The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana was
called to order at 4:18 p.m. by Chairman Young in the City Council
Chambers, 22 civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The Minutes of the March 16, 1987 Housing Authority
Meeting were approved 6:0 on a Motion by Authority
Member McGuigan, seconded by Authority Member
Pulido, and carried 6:0.
CONSENT CALENDAR
A.
Monthlv Status Report for the Section 8 Housinq Assistance
Proqram: FEBRUARY 1987. The Monthly Status Report was received
and filed on a Motion by Authority Member McGuigan, seconded by
Authority Member Pulido and carried 6:0.
NEW BUSINESS
A.
Computerization of Section 8 Proqrams -- The Housing Authority
authorized the following action on a Motion by Authority Member
Pulido, seconded by Authority Member McGuigan and carried 6:0:
1)
The issuance of an RFP by the Purchasing Division for a
computer network system for the streamlining of the Section
8 operations.
2)
The purchase of the custom HIM & RS software program by
David E. Baker & Associates.

3)
The expenditure in a maximum amount of $80,000 from the
Housing Authority's operating reserves for the cost of the
acquisition and implementation of the computer network and
custom software program.

MISCELLANEOUS
A.
Secretarv of the Authoritv Report: The Secretary of the Housing
Authority was instructed to insert the following into the minutes
on a Motion by Authority Member McGuigan, seconded by Authority
Member Pulido and carried 6:0: Pursuant to Government Code
Section 54954.2 the April 6,1987 Housing Authority Agenda was
posted on the door of the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center
Plaza, at 8:30 a.m. on April 3, 1987.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Housing Authority, the Meeting
~ was adjourned at 4:27 p.m.
