HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/07/1997 8 8 . .- '" MINUTES REGULAR MEETING HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA JULY 7, 1997 The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Chairman Pulido in the City Council Chambers 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California. Authority Members present were Tony Espinoza, Brett Franklin, Tom Lutz, Patricia McGuigan, Ted R Moreno, and Robert L. Richardson. Also present were City Manager David N. Ream, City Attorney Joseph W. Fletcher, and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. MOTION: MINUTES: MOTION: LA REPORTS: 2.A Approve staff recommendations on the following Consent Calendar items: MOTION: McGuigan Pulido SECOND: VOTE: 7: 0 Approve Minutes. Regular Meeting June 2, 1997. Receive and File Monthly Status Report for the Section 8 Housing Assistance Program: May, 1997. MOTION: SECRETARY OF THE AUTHORITY REPORT Instruct the Secretary to enter into the minutes: 3.A Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2 the July 7, 1997 Housing Authority Agenda was posted on the door of the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, at 3:30 p.m. on July 2, 1997. ****************************END OF CONSENT CALENDAR************************ 8 8 . ~.. NEW BUSINESS 4.A Application to HUD for Additional Housing Certificates Under the Section 8 Rental Assistance Family Unification Program. MOTION: 1. Approve the submission of an application to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for 10 additional Section 8 housing certificates in connection with the Family Unification Program. 2. Adopt a resolution accepting the 10 Family Unification Certificates and authorize the Chairman and the Executive Director of the Housing Authority to execute all required documents on behalf of the Authority. MOTION: Richardson SECOND: Lutz VOTE: 7:0 4.B Application to HUD for Vouchers Under the Section 8 Rental Assistance Mainstream Program. MOTION: l.Approve the submission of an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for 100 additional Section 8 housing vouchers in connection with the Mainstream Program. 2. Adopt a resolution accepting the lOO Mainstream vouchers and authorize the Chairman and the Executive Director of the Housing Authority to execute all required documents on behalf of the Authority.
