REL: ""'/94 RESOLUTION NO. 94-9 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOP- MENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 94-1 TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FUNDS FROM THE NORTH HARBOR REDE- VELOPMENT PROJECT WHICH MAY BE USED FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO ROSITA PARK WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana, by its Resolution No. 94-1, adopted June 20, 1994, determined that the construction of a recreation center in Rosita Park is of benefit to the Santa Ana North Harbor Boulevard Redevelopment Project Area, that no other reasonable means of financing construction of said recreation center is available to the City and that the use of funds of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana for construction of said recreation center will assist in the elimination of one or more blighting conditions; and authorized the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana to pay a portion of the cost of construction of said recreation center; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 94-1 authorized up to $2 million in Agency funds from the North Harbor Boulevard Redevelopment Project Area to be used for the construction of said recreation center; and WHEREAS, it now appears that up to $2.5 million in Agency funds from the said project area will be necessary for the construction of said recreation center; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that Resolution 94-1 is amended in the following respects: 1. The fifth recital in said resolution is amended to read as follows: WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana ("city") has assembled $0.6 million in funds from various sources in order to finance the construction of the Recre- ation Center, leaving a shortfall of approximately $2.5 million; and 2. The sixth recital is said resolution is amended to read as follows: WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency of 1 . . . the city of Santa Ana (the "Agency") has indicated its willingness to contribute up to $2.5 million in funds from the Project Area to make up the shortfall and enable the city to construct the Recreation Center; and 3. follows: Section 2 said resolution is amended to read as of 2. The Agency is hereby authorized to con- tribute up to $2.5 million in Agency funds from the Project Area to finance a portion of the cost of construction of the Recreation Center. Subject to the $2.5 million maximum, the use of Agency funds shall be in accordance with that certain Cooperation Agreement, dated June 16, between the Agency and the City.
