RESOLUTION NO. 98-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING A
TERMINATION AGREEMENT AND A COOPERATION
AGREEMENT RELATED TO THE MACARTHUR PLACE
PROJECT, AND MAKING CERTAIN ENVIRONMENTAL
FINDINS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Santa Ana (hereinafter referred to as the" Agency") is engaged in
activities necessary to execute and implement the Redevelopment
Plan for the South Main Redevelopment Project Area (the, "Project
Area"); and,
WHEREAS, on or about April 19, 1988 the Agency entered into a
certain Disposition and Development Agreement regarding a ~ 62
acre portion of the Project Area commonly known as MacArthur Place
(the "DDA"); and,
WHEREAS, the Agency has received a request to terminate the
DDA as to a ~ 40 acre portion of MacArthur Place (the "Project"),
which request the Agency is willing to honor; and,
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to assist the City of Santa Ana
in providing for the costs of certain public improvements to serve
the Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Agency has reviewed the applicable environmental
documents related to the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That certain Termination Agreement between the Agency
and MacArthur Place, LLC, on file with the Secretary of the
Agency, is hereby approved, and the Chairman of the Agency is
hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement on behalf
of the Agency, with such non-substantive changes as may be
recommended by Agency Counsel.
2. That certain Cooperation Agreement between the Agency
and the City of Santa Ana is hereby approved, and the Chairman of
the Agency is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement on behalf of the Agency, with such non-substantive
changes as may be recommended by Agency Counsel.
3. Those certain environmental findings identified as
"Environmental Findings, City of Santa Ana, The First American
Financial Corporation Project at MacArthur Place, ER 97-126, Case
No. DP 97-062", which are on file with the Secretary of the

Agency, and which were previously approved by the Santa Ana
Planning Commission, are hereby approved and determined adequate
for purpOSèS of the Agency in its herein actions.
ADOPTED this 6th day of April 1998.
