PROGRESS REPORT ON
AGENCY ACTIVITIES
Mr. Andrusky's report dated
December 5, 1973, covering
three main areas of interest
to the Agency: Recruitment of Executive Director; Request for Proposals;
and Redevelopment Commission; was received and filed on the unanimously
appproved motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded by Commissioner
Yamamoto. Prior to the vote on the motion, the Commissioners discussed
the Alternate Corridor Transportation Study being conducted by the Orange
County Transit District. The consensus was that the City's recommen-
dation to the Transit District should include the completion of Route
57 and Santa Ana as a major corridor for any mass transportation plan.
Councilman Garthe expressed his opposition to the proposed location
for the bus terminal, between Fifth and Sixth Streets from Sycamore
to Broadway. The City Manager reported that the City would be rep-
