Malone, Clerk of the Council APPROVAL OF MINUI'ES The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 27, 1976, Adjourned Regular Meeting of May 3, 1976, and May 17, 1976, were unanim:>usly approved (6:0) on IIDtion of Mr. Evans , seconded by Mr. Brandt. MYERS, DISPœITION CXJNSULTANI' was adopted on IIDntion of Counci1man Evans, seconded by Counci1man Bricken and carried (5:1) with counci1man Ortiz dissenting. IKXJSING ~ICN PRæœAIS IJEVELCIPER SELECl'ED Shapell Government Housing/Goldrich, Kest and Associates, a joint venture, were selected as the developer for 200 units of Section 8 housing and 300 units of market ra"i;!housing, for a l4-acre site, in the Redevelopnent Project Area, between Ross and Flower Streets and First and Third Streets, on the IIDtion of Mr. Evans, seconded by Mr. Ortiz. The IIDtion further granted to Shapell Government Housing/Goldrich, Kest and Associates, a joint venture, exclusive right to negotiate a Disposition Develop- ment Agreanent with the Agency for 6-m::>nth period. The IIDtion carried on the following roll call vote: AYES: NJ.ES : ABSENT : Evans, Ortiz, Bricken, YmIllllDto, Garthe, Brandt None Ward Prior to the IIDtion the Executive Director stated that staff and the Redeve1opnent Cœmission had unaninDusly recannended the selection of Shapell Govermænt Housing, et.al. ,by the Agency; and that a review by staff of the six proposals received indicated that Shapell has the technical expertise, and financial resources and . t . 8 had done a very cat¡Jlete analysis of the project. He referred to his report to the Agency dated May 20, 1976, for a SIJIIIIary of the project and the other proposals received. ' Shapell Housing representatives, using a map and several artist's renderings, described their plans for the project. Mr. James Orr, maOOer of the Camnmity Redevelopnent Cœmission, and Mr. Howard Way, Chaiman of the Redevelopnent Project Area Cœmittee, spoke in favor of the IIDtion to select the developer. m'ATUS REroRl' ON MAJOR PRIORITIES REŒIVED AND FILED A report fran the Executive Director, dated May 19, 1976, on the status of the following major priorities was received and filed on the unan:im:>usly approved (6:0) IIDtion of Mr. Evans, seconded by Mr. Yamam::>to: Parking Study Brochure on the Ibwntown YI£A Site and David M.
