MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA OCTOBER 1,1979 The Special Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana was called to order by Chairman James Ward at 1:47 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California. After the pledge to the Flag, roll was called: PRESENT ABSENT Gordon Bricken Daniel Griset (1:55 Robert Luxembourger J. Ogden Markel James Ward Harry Yamamoto Al Serrato P.M. ) Others in attendance: Richard E. Goblirsch, Executive Director Dave Ream, Assistant Executive Director Stacey Creveston, Secretary B. J. Thompson, City Manager Keith Gow, City Attorney Dennis G. Ciocca, E. F. Hutton & Company SELECTION OF UNDERWRITER FOR SB 99 BOND ISSUE The Executive Director reviewed the background information contained in the agenda packet, stating that it was the Commission's and Staff's recommendation that Miller & Schroeder be selected as the underwriter for the SB 99 bond issue, for the reasons contained therein. Mr. Dennis G. Ciocca, First Vice President of E. F. Hutton & Company in San Francisco, addressed the Agency, giving reasons why their firm should be hired. Mr. Griset arrived at 1:55 P.M. A motion was made by Mr. Bricken and seconded by Mr. Ward to adopt Resolution 79-50: A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR INVESTMENT BANKER SERVICES BETWEEN THE AGENCY AND MILLER & SCHROEDER MUNICIPALS, INCORPORATED. After considerable discussion, the motion failed by the following roll call vote: ----AXES: NOES: ABSENT: Bricken, Griset, Ward Luxembourger, Markel, Yamamoto Serrato A motion was made carried unanimously attend the next presentation. by Mr. Bricken, seconded by Mr. Ward and to request that all four of the consultants Redevelopment Agency meeting to make a ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the Redevelopment Agency, the meeting was adjourned at 2:10 P.M.
