MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OCTOBER 16, 1990
The Regular Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency was called to order
at 5:40 p.m. by Vice Chairman Acosta in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center
Plaza, Santa Ana, California. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given,
and the following Agency Members were in attendance:

It was moved by Agency Member McGuigan, seconded by Agency Member Pulido and
carried unanimously (5:0) that the Redevelopment Agency approve the minutes of
the Regular Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency held September 18,
1990.
BID AWARD FOR RENOVATION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION OF THE BOWERS MUSEUM EXPANSION
PROJECT
Arthur Strock, Bowers Museum Board, briefly stated that the approval of this
item will begin the groundbreaking process for the Bowers Museum Expansion
project.
Responding to a question from Agency Member Acosta, Ms. Nelson commented that
the funds for this project will be obtained from a separate redevelopment fund
identified for the Bowers project.
After further discussion, it was moved by Agency Member Pulido, seconded by
Agency Member May and carried unanimously (5:0) that the Redevelopment Agency
award the bid, and authorize the Chairman and Executive Director to execute a
contract with Continental Heller Construction, the lowest responsive bidder,
in the amount of $5,795,000 for renovation and new construction of the Bowers
Museum.

AGENCY SECRETARY REPORT
It was moved by Agency Member McGuigan, seconded by Agency Member Pulido and
carried unanimously (5:0) that the Redevelopment Agency instruct the Agency
Secretary to enter into the Minutes:
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the Agenda for the September 18,
1990 Regular Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency was posted on the
door of the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana at 3 p.m. on
September 14, 1990.
Agency Member Young joined the meeting at 5:43 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Redevelopment Agency, the
meeting adjourned at 5:44 p.m.
