PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT CIVIC CENTER DRIVE AND WESTWOOD Mayor Young opened the public hearing at 5:53 p.m. Robert Hoffman, Redevelopment and Real Estate Manager, gave the staff presentation. Adopt a resolution: RESOLUTION 92-3 - A resolution of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana authorizing and directing the condemnation of that certain real property identified as that portion of Westwood Avenue adjoining the property identified by Assessor Parcel Number, Book 405, Page 233, Parcel 14, commonly known as the street in front of 1131 Westwood Avenue, Santa Ana, California, for redevelopment purposes. MOTION: Pulido SECOND: Richardaon VOTES: AYES: Acosta, Griset, Pulido, McGuigan, Richardaon, Young NOES: Norton PASS-THROUGH AGREEMENTS WITH ORANGE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS Direct the Agency Attorney to prepare, and authorize the Chairman and Executive Director to execute, pass-through agreements with Orange County Sanitation District Nos. 1, 2 and 7 as they relate to the North Harbor, South Harbor, South Main and Inter-City Redevelopment Project Areas. GARFIELD STREET (A.P. NO. 398-043-07) Direct the Agency Attorney to prepare, and authorize the Chairman and the Executive Director to execute, an agree~nt with Pedro H. Garcia and Mary S. KOTION: Pulido SECOND: McGuigan VOTES: AYES: Acosta, Griset, Pulido, McGuigan, Norton, Richardson and Young NOES: None CONTRACT FOR GOODWILL APPRAISAL SERVICES--DESMOND, MARCELLO AND AMSTER--HARBOR DRIVE-IN Direct the Agency Attorney to prepare, and authorize the Chairman and the Executive Director to execute, an amendment to that certain agreement for valuation services dated September 17, 1991 with the firm of Desmond, Marcello and Amster, for the appraisal of possible loss of business goodwill, with total amended compensation not to exceed the sum of $28,171.50. The March 17, 1992 Community Redevelopment Agency Agenda was posted on the door of the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, at 11 a.m. on Karch 13, 1992. The Agency Secretary announced that the Redevelopment Agency was recessing to Closed Session pursuant to: Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with the Agency Attorney regarding pending litigation which had been initiated formally and to which the Agency was a party, to wit: CRA vs. Nakamura RECONVENED - 6:05 P.X. All Agency Members present. CLOSED SESSION REPORT Kotion: Authorize settlement as follows: CRA vs. Nakamura, in the amount of $350,000.
