Approve the Minutes of the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the
Community Redevelopment Agency held on July 7, 1997.
RECORDING SECRETARY REPORT
Motion:
Instruct the Recording Secretary to enter notice of posting
into the Minutes.
The July 7, 1997 Agenda for the Adjourned Regular Meeting of
the Community Redevelopment Agency was posted on the door of
the Council Chambers, 22 civic Center Plaza at 11:55 a.m. on
July 3, 1997.

BUSINESS CALENDAR

AMENDMENT TO LEASE WITH TALLER SAN JOSE
Motion:
Direct the Agency Attorney to prepare, and authorize the
Chairman and the Executive Director to execute, an amendment
to the Lease Agreement with Taller San Jose.

REQUEST TO ENTER INTO A REHABILITATION AGREEMENT AND LOAN
GUARANTEE WITH SECOND STREET EAST, LLC FOR THE REHABILITATION OF
ARTIST STUDIOS LOCATED AT 202 EAST SECOND STREET
Chairman Pulido departed meeting at 6:32 p.m. Vice Chairman Richardson
then chaired this portion of the meeting.
Agency Members Moreno and Espinoza raised their concerns regarding the
loan stating that it is a risk to the city, and further commented they
did not support the development of additional apartment units.
Motion:
Authorize the City Attorney to prepare and the Chairman of
the Redevelopment Agency to execute a Commercial
Rehabilitation Loan Agreement with Second Street East, LLC in
an amount not to exceed $750,000 for artists studios located
at 202 East Second Street.
