JOINT PUBLIC HEARING - DISCOVERY SCIENCE CENTER PROJECT The public hearing opened at 7:39 p.m. Planning and Building Executive Director Robyn Uptegraff and Administrative Services Manager John Reekstin presented the staff report and comments. Ten written comments were received and twenty-six speakers were heard on the matter. See April 21, 1997 City Council Minutes for additional information. The public hearing closed at 9:22 p.m. City Council Action: See April 21, 1997 City Council Minutes. Community Redevelopment Aqency Action: Motion: Adopt a resolution: 1. Resolution 97-5 - A resolution authorizing an agreement for the acquisition of real property and escrow instructions acquiring the real property identified as . . . Director's Deeds Nos. 073158-01-01, 073155-01-01, and 073153-01-01 from Caltrans for an amount not to exceed $1,500,000 plus closing costs, and finding that the property will be used to benefit the public. 2. Accept the real property formerly identified as a portion of Arnett Drive and additional City property north of Arnett Drive from the City, identified as development parcel 6, along with an easement for the construction of a vehicular/pedestrian bridge over Santiago Creek connecting development parcels 3 and 4. 3. Adopt a resolution: Resolution No. 97-6 - A resolution approving a Disposition and Development agreement with Discovery Museum of Orange County for development of the Discovery Science Center project.
