OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
May 12, 1980
The meeting was called to order at 5:06 p.m. by Mayor James E. Ward in the
City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Council members present
were Gordon Bricken, R. W. Luxembourger, J. Ogden Markel, Alfred C. Ser-
rato, Harry K. Yamamoto and Mayor Ward. Councilmember Daniel E. Griset
arrived at 5:13 p.m. Also present were Assistant City Manager Dan Stone,
City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy.
RECESS
EXECUTIVE SESSION
reconvened at 6:15 p.m.
The meeting was immediately
recessed to Executive Session
for discussion of personnel
matters. The Council meeting
ACTING CITY I~ANAGER MOTION was made by Bricken,
APPOINTED seconded by Serrato, to appoint
Daniel E. Stone Acting City Man-
ager effective May lO, 1980, and
to terminate employment contract with Carl J. Thornton Interim City Manager
effective May 9, 1980.
