RESOLUTION NO. 78-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE
PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY AT THE NORTHWEST
CORNER OF GLENWOOD PLACE AND FLOWER STREET
FROM THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of
California, Section 33000 et seq. of the California Health and
Safety Code, authorizes a redevelopment agency to expend public
funds to acquire by purchase, lease, or condemnation all or part
of the real property in the project area, in Section 33342 thereof;
and
of the
public
agency
to the
WHEREAS, Section 33334,2 of the Health and Safety Code
State of California permits a redevelopment agency to use
funds outside the project area upon a resolution of the
and the legislative body that such use will be of benefit
project; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Replacement Program has been de-
signed to assist low-income families displaced from the l4-acre
clearance site of the redevelopment project area in purchasing
residences outside the redevelopment project area; and
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency desires to
purchase certain real property from the City of Santa Ana for the
purpose of providing lots outside the redevelopment area on which
to place houses to be rehabilitated under the Housing Replacement
Program, which purchase will be of benefit to the redevelopment
project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Community Redeve-
lopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana:
1. Pursuant to Section 33334,2 of the Health and Safety
Code of the State of California, the Community Redevelopment Agency
finds that the purchase by it from the City of Santa Ana of that
certain real property situated at the northwest corner of Glenwood
Place and Flower Street in the City of Santa Ana, Assessor Parcel
Numbers 15-147-10 and 15-147-11, which real property is located
outside the redevelopment project area, will be of benefit to the
project,
2. The Community Redevelopment Agency hereby approves
the purchase of said real property from the City of Santa Ana
for the sum of Forty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($47,500,00).
