OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
October 26, 1981
The meeting was called to order at 1:08 p.m. by Mayor Bricken in Room 147,
Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present were
Daniel E. Griset, J. Ogden Markel, Patricia A. McGuigan, and Mayor Gordon
Bricken. Also present were City Manager A. J. Wilson, City Attorney
Edward J. Cooper, and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy, as well as the
City Manager's administrative staff. Councilmembers John Acosta and
Alfred C. Serrato were absent.
CITY'S GOALS & OBJECTIVES The Mayor explained that the
WORK STUDY SESSION two-year plan being presented
was based on Councilmembers'
suggestions which had been ar-
ticulated over the period of the last year. The City Manager reviewed
the sections on Community Image, Community Maintenance, and Cultural
Programs contained in the Goals and Objectives document and responded to
Councilmembers' questions.
The Council recessed at 1:57 p.m. and reconvened at 2:06 p.m. in the
Council Chambers with the same members present.

Center's activities, stating
that the Center has provided job counseling, job placement, translation
and interpretation services, individual and group counseling, and transpor-
tation services since 1974. Mr. Alferos said that the largest percentage
of clientele reside in Santa Ana. Mayor Bricken presented Mr. Alferos
with a City Seal Tile Plaque in appreciation of the services provided
