OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
February 24, 1982
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gordon Bricken at 5:40 p.m.
in Room 831, City Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present
were John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, R. W. Luxembourger, J. Ogden Markel,
Patricia A. McGuigan, Alfred C. Serrato and Mayor Gordon 8ricken. Also
present were City Manager A. J. Wilson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper,
Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy, several Transportation staff members
and representatives of the Archiplan firm.
AGREEMENT WITH Following response by the
ARCHIPLAN - SANTA ANA Transportation Director to
INTERCITY COMMUTER STATION specific questions regarding
APPROVED selection of a professional
......... architectural/engineering
firm for design of the Santa Aha Intercity Commuter Station and Council
discussion, the Council voted to select the firm who would prepare said
design from among the four designated by Council on February 16, 1982,
for further consideration.
The vote was as follows:
1. Archiplan Urban Design Collaborative - Bricken, Griset,
Luxembourger, Markel, McGuigan
2. The Blurock Partnership - Acosta, Serrato
3. Grillas-Pirc-Rosier-Alves/S&T Wester, Inc. - None
4. Thirtieth Street Architects - None
By unanimous informal consent, the Council approved award of the contract
agreement for professional architectural/engineering services with the
firm of Archiplan Urban Design Collaborative for the design of the Santa Ana
Intercity Commuter Station in an amount not to exceed $277,105.00 A 82-18
ADJOURNMENT

6:45 p.m.
