BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Santa Ana, as
follolVs:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 342[10 of the Housing Authorities
Law the City Council hereby declares .itself to be the Commissioners of
the Housing Authority created by Section 34240 of the Housing Authorities
Law, and that all rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities
vested by the Housing Authorities Law in such Authority shall be and
are vested in said Commissioners except as otherwise provided ~n
Sections 34290 through 34293 of the Housing Authorities Law.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby declares that the Commissioners
of the Authority and'the Housing Authority will limit their activities
under the Housing _.\uthorities Law of the State of California, to the
leasing of pri vate accommodations pursuant to Section 23 of the Housing
Act of 1937, as amended, with emphasis on large families; and, that
no other project or program of low-rent housing \vill be undertaken
without specific approval of the City Council.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately.
