DISCUSSION The City's existing sewer lift station on Bristol Street was originally constructed in the 1960's and was upgraded about 15 years ago (Exhibit 1). The current capacity of the lift station is undersized for today's sewage flows. This project will provide for a new sewer lift station at the end of San Lorenzo Avenue, approximately 700 ft. away from the existing facility. Requests for proposals to prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates were sent to five qualified engineering firms. Three responses were received and evaluated on technical merit by a four-member selection committee. The sealed fee proposals of the three firms were then opened. Listed below are the scores and proposed fees of these three firms.
