OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
SEPTEMBER 16, 1986
The meeting was called to order at 5:53 p.m., by Mayor Daniel E. Griset,
in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present
were Wilson B. Hart, P. Lee Johnson, R. W. Luxembourger, Patricia A.
McGuigan and Mayor Griset. Also present were City Manager David N. Ream,
City Attorney Edward J.Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy.
Councilmembers John Acosta and Dan Young were absent.

COUNCILMEMBER ABSENCES
Councilmember Luxembourger requested that Councilmembers Acosta and
Young's absences be excused due to prior business commitments. The Mayor
SO noted that the record should reflect their absences were excused by
the Council.

JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
76.A. AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH J. R. WOOD FOR DEVELOPMENT OF
DEALERSHIP IN AUTO MALL (AGENCY ITEM 2A)
The Mayor opened the joint public hearing of the Community Redevelopment
Agency and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for the proposed
Amendment to the Lease, Option and Development Agreement between the
Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana and J. R. Wood,
for the project site bounded on the north by Santa Fe Railroad, on the
south by Edinger Avenue, on the east by the Costa Mesa Freeway, and on
the west by Ritchey Street.
Cindy Nelson, Acting Executive Director of the Community Development
Agency, presented the staff report and recommendations.
The Clerk of the Council reported no written communications.
There were no speakers on the matter.
The Mayor closed the public hearing.

SANTA ANA APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO A LEASE, OPTION AND DEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA AND J. R. WOOD (PARCELS 4 AND 5).

At 5:59 p.m., the Council recessed to the Community Redevelopment Agency
and reconvened at 6:51 p.m., with all Councilmembers present.
COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM
65.A. MOBILE HOME PARK MEDIATION PROCEDURES
MOTION:
Direct the Housing Advisory Commission to investigate the
procedures and practices of other communities in mediating
disputes between mobile home park owners and tenants, and to
make recommendations to the Council with regard to the most
appropriate course of action for the City, in order to assist in
the mediation of current issues at conflict in the City's mobile
home parks.
